Two Different Connection Styles

The Differential Screw…The Key to a Precision Connection

The differential screw is responsible for all the functions required for clamping and releasing the connection…drawing the taper in and also automatically ejecting it according to the direction of rotation. Even after long-term use, dismantling is easy due to a defined release force.

 

 

Radial Clamping ... The Key to a Quick Change

The radial clamping system consists of an eccentric pin in the holder and a pull stud fitted on the head. The head is secured and released by a simple quarter turn of the eccentric pin located near the head. This provides a clear advantage with regards to tool change times and amount of handling without any change in precision.

 

 

Combined Operations and Special Tooling

The simplicity of MAPAL’s HFS system design allows for a wide range of possibilities for combining tooling options…especially since exact concentricity between the tool stages is achieved without time-consuming alignment. The combination of different cutting systems, for example a brazed tool with a holder for replaceable inserts, is now a practical, economical solution…thanks to the MAPAL HFS system.
