The MEGA-Drill-Steel features special geometry designed to provide
excellent efficiency in steel materials, with high cutting values
and long tool life.
The special design of the drills cutting edges and flutes allows
the chip to curl and fracture. Better chip control results in
excellent chip clearance from the bore and improved drill performance.
MEGA-Drill-Steel achieves drilling depths of up to 5xDand even
up to 8XD with internal coolant.

The MEGA-Drill-Inox is specifically designed for the efficient
drilling of difficult to machine materials like stainless steels
and high temperature alloys used in the aerospace industry. When
machining these types of materials, the best results are achieved
with drills with a sharp cutting edge that allows for improved
shearing capabilities.
The MEGA-Drill-Inox features a unique flute form with rounded
geometry specifically designed for these materialsand ensures
that the chips flow cleanly and freely.
The combination of the point geometry and flute form create
a tool that reduces axial thrust loading, excess heat generation
and drastically reduces built up edge (BUE) for increased tool
life and improved performance.

MEGA-Drill-Alu
The challenges of aluminum, aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous
materials require a specialized geometry to handle the size
and volume of chips produced when machining these materials.
The MEGA-Drill-Alu compliments the family of MEGA-Drills by
addressing these applications needs.
Special cutting edge geometry is used to allow for strong shearing
capabilities and chip control, drastically reducing built-up
edge. An open flute design and a proprietary polishing process
in the flute wall ensure appropriate chip evacuation.

Combine two operations into one and significantly reduce production
times and costs with the MEGA-Drill-Reamer. Two drilling margins
handle rough drilling, while either four or six reaming margins
are responsible for finish machining the bore. MEGA-Drill-Reamers
provide excellent surface finish, dimensional stability and concentricity.

Materials above 50HRc require a tool designed with strength and rigidity for efficient, cost-effective drilling. In addition to the high strength, slow helix flute design and the stabilized cutting edge, the MEGA-Drill-Hardened comes standard with MAPAL Specialized Coating to help drastically reduce the torque created when machining these types of materials. Available standard in a 4 times diameter solid carbide construction, MEGA-Drill-Hardened can also be modified to fit your hard drilling application

SMART-Drill
The intelligent choice for extremely small diameter drilling challenges is the SMART-Drill from MAPAL. Designed for use with a variety of materials from steels to aluminum, the SMART-Drill incorporates a specialized flute form and point geometry that maximizes both strength and performance in an extremely small solid carbide construction. The proprietary MAPAL MxF coating, in combination with the coolant through construction, ensures optimum chip form and operating temperatures. Available standard in diameters between 1mm and 2.9mm with depth to diameter ratios between 5 times up to 12 times diameter, the SMART-Drill is ready to perform in your small hole application with high performance results.

MEGA-Deep-Drill
Maximize Performance, Surface Finish and Tolerance.
For years many deep hole drilling applications beyond 12 times diameter were accomplished with time consuming gun boring operations, but now MAPAL offers a line of high performance solid carbide drills to meet the demand of extremely deep hole drilling. Available to drill 15, 20, 25 and even 30 times diameter, these drills provide incredible time and cost savings with a high strength design. Available as a standard product, MEGA-Deep-Drill can also be modified or designed to a specific material group or depth demand. The unique design of the flute and margins maximizes not only performance, but also surface finish and tolerance.
